Liz has been a lay leader for over 40 years, serving on numerous regional and national non-profit boards, focusing on Jewish education, tuition affordability, Israel advocacy, and Jewish communal life. She was instrumental in establishing the Brauser Maimonides Academy, a premiere Jewish day school in South Florida.
She is also one of the founding directors of the recently created Alliance of Blacks and Jews International, an initiative that seeks unity between the communities and opposes racism of all kinds including Anti- Semitism and the BDS movement.
Liz, an emigre to South Florida 31 years ago after a 15 year stint in Manhattan, hails from Savannah, GA. She and her husband raised three kids all of whom are employed in the helping professions and Jewish communal positions. Their expanding family includes their two rabbi sons- in- laws and five grandkids.
