David is the President & CEO of Shepherd Search Group® and the Shepherd Group of Companies. As the Founder of Merraine Group Inc., David started in the executive search & recruitment business with healthcare. After growing the firm to national prominence, David formed the Shepherd Search Group® and has gone on to acquire a number of successful boutique, talent solution firms such as Dermatology Recruiters, the Compass Network, HRselect, Nielsen Healthcare, Shepherd Engineering and The Joel Paul Group amongst others.

David has been the driving force behind the firm’s global expansion as well as their diversification into interim staffing, recruitment process outsourcing, organizational development & effectiveness, training and performance coaching as well as HR solutions and a suite of onsite services. With twenty offices today across the globe, Shepherd has become the “go to” firm for organizations looking to fill critical roles and/or assistance with recruitment & retention strategies. As an Inc. 1000 company twice over, Shepherd is today one of the fastest growing talent solution firms across the United States. Apart from Shepherd, David also serves as the Chairman of The Joel Paul Group.

Early in his career David spent more than a decade in senior leadership roles within graphic communications. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, has three dogs, a blind cat and can frequently be found in airports, assisting nonprofit organizations or if time allows, sampling a new vintage in some obscure vineyard.

William Hochman brings over 30 years of leadership experience to his position as CEO of The Joel Paul Group. His expertise is in general-management, marketing, and consultative sales – and he brings to JPG client engagements a unique combination of management know-how gained from serving in senior capacities with leading international brands and prominent nonprofit groups.

Willie has extensive industry experience in the financial services sector. For more than 25 years, he served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Standard & Poor’s. He has also held senior business development positions with Dun and Bradstreet. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Willie has been actively involved in communal development and philanthropy.

Willie has served on the Board of Directors at Yavneh Academy in Paramus, NJ, and he is currently a member of the Executive Board of Directors of The SINAI Schools in Paramus, NJ. He and his wife, Gail, have three children and many grandchildren.
